Motorcycle Ride in the Rain Ends in Crash

Two eastern Iowa residents were injured over the weekend, when they crashed their motorcycle off of a road while riding in the rain.

The Linn County Sheriff received a call just before 8pm Saturday (May 18), reporting a motorcycle crashed off 16th Avenue, where the road ends at a "t-intersection" with 80th Street, north of Fairfax.

The driver, 60 year old Randy Hartgrave and his passenger, 46 year old Melissa Nichols, both of Albion, were taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Neither were wearing helmets.
