More Ditch-Driving Due to the Weather…

The Fayette County Sheriff continues to report on the numerous traffic accidents caused by Tuesday's (Jan. 10) winter weather.
One accident happened 3 miles east of Arlington on Highway 187; a pickup driven by 19 year old Shania Falck of Strawberry Point, went out of control and into a ditch. No one was injured.

Another happened south of Arlington on Highway 3, when 37 year old Carl Johnson of Manchester lost control at the intersection with "E" Avenue, and entered a ditch. Again, there were no injuries.

On Highway 150, 3 miles north of West Union, a vehicle driven by 27 year old Nikita Choate of Webster City went out of control and into a ditch. There were no damages or injuries.

And deputies responded to a rollover accident northeast of Oelwein on Highway 3 near "T" Avenue. A pickup driven by David Lee of Westgate slid on icy pavement and rolled. The 1997 S-10 was totaled, but no injuries were reported.

All of the accidents remain under investigation.
