Minnesota Teen Arrested in Winneshiek County on Weapons Charges

Winneshiek County authorities have arrested a Minnesota teenager, on Felony weapons charges.

The 17 year old, whose name was not released, was taken into custody shortly after 3pm Friday (Nov. 27) near Festina, in Washington Township.

The juvenile male had an arrest warrant from Faribault County, Minnesota, for Felony Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, a Pistol and Weapon, Felony Second Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Felony Threats of Violence, and a Misdemeanor charge of Reckless Handling of a Dangerous Weapon.

The teen is from Winnebago, Minnesota. He was taken into custody by the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office, and held until his extradition to Minnesota.
