Man Arrested After Scaling 61-Story Salesforce Tower in Cali.

A 22-year-old college man was arrested on Tuesday morning after he climbed the 61-story Salesforce Tower in San Francisco.

The young man was identified as Maison Des Champs from Las Vegas. He traveled from Vegas to San Francisco via uber with the intention to climb the tower. The Salesforce Tower is the tallest in the bay.

When San Fransisco police arrived at the scene, they said he was too high up to be stopped. When Des Champs made it to the top he was arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest. He was cited and released, according to SFPD.

Witnesses on the ground and inside the building took videos of Maison Des Champs as he scaled the 1,070-foot structure.

Starting his climb within the 9 O'clock hour, Des Champs reached the top of the tower around 10:45 AM. A CBS San Francisco camera on top of the tower captured the arrest. His motive to climb the tower was to protest abortion. He hoped his efforts would help raise his donation goal of 1 million dollars. As of May 4th, he has raised $2,805.

Located on 415 Mission Street, the headquarters of Salesforce is the nation's 17th tallest building and the second tallest west of the Mississippi River.
