A highly anticipated movie that is set to release this month is "Twisters' the sequel to the blockbuster hit 'Twister.'

The movie stars Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Anthony Ramos as storm chasers and scientists who "find themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives."

'Twisters' is set to premiere in theaters on July 19th.

Did you know that an important part of the original movie was actually shot right here in the Hawkeye State?

THE HOME IN THIS STORY IS PRIVATE PROPERTY: DO NOT TRESPASS

The majority of 'Twister' was shot in Oklahoma. Wakita, Oklahoma is one of the more popular filming locations, and the town still celebrates the movie every day at their Twister Museum.

A large chuck of the final act was filmed in Iowa. The movie crew shot the scenes where Jo and Bill are running away from the terrifying tornado in Ames, Iowa. However, maybe the most iconic image from 'Twister' was shot in Eldora. And it involves a piece of Iowa real estate.

Located at 26302 Y Avenue in Eldora, this two-story wood frame home was put through the ringer during the final act of the 1996 flick.

The exterior of this house was used as Aunt Meg's Oklahoma home.

Can I Visit The House?

You'd think that the owners of the home would want to capitalize on this cinematic moment and make a few extra bucks. The only thing they really want is privacy, at least that's what it seems on Road Side America's website.

In 2019, the owner posted on the online forum, asking for fans of the hit disaster movie to respect their privacy.

"Aunt Meg's house was in Oklahoma and was actually destroyed by a tornado some seven or eight years ago. Our home was only at the end of the movie, for less than a minute. We choose to pay more attention to the 130 years of county history our home holds. Thank you for accepting our choice for privacy."
