Illinois Woman Injured In Rollover Crash Near Dike

An Illinois woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident in Grundy County Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 24, 2017).

The Iowa State Patrol said Alexandra Harvey, 22, of Champaign, Ill., was transported to a Waterloo hospital after the van she was riding in crashed on U.S. Highway 20. Authorities did not release the the extent of Harvey's injuries.

The accident happened around 12:45 p.m. near mile marker 219, just east of Dike.

According to a crash report, Arwen Sabas, 22, also of Champaign, Ill., was driving westbound when the vehicle dropped onto the highway's shoulder. State troopers said Sabas over-corrected while trying to get the van back on the pavement, causing him to lose control. The vehicle then rolled into the ditch.
