Illinois Shoplifter Uses Pro Wrestling Move To Steal Booze

I've read a lot of stories over the past few years about shoplifting in Illinois but I've never seen one where the thief uses a pro wrestling move on the store clerk.

This doesn't start as a unique story. A man walked into a liquor store in Mount Prospect. He started grabbing a bunch of different bottles of booze. At first, the store clerk believes he's about to make a big sale. Then he realizes, this customer has no intention of paying for his items. The guy is just a bad shoplifter.

At this point, the liquor store employee gives the shoplifter a warning. Well, the thief decides the booze is worth his trouble. Instead of just taking off, he goes after the clerk like he's holding the championship belt for professional wrestling. He puts the poor victim in a headlock to try and choke him out.

The store clerk taps out and off goes the shoplifter with arms filled with full liquor bottles. Now, he has his next few hours figured out so he leaves on foot to head to his next destination. In the meantime, the store employee calls the police with a description of the thief.

As luck would have it before the officers even get to the crime scene, they spot the suspect walking down the road. When they stopped to question the shoplifter, he admitted to the whole incident. Maybe, he's like Pinocchio and his nose grows when he lies because this dude didn't hold back any of the truth.

Maybe, he just felt guilty about the whole thing. I'm guessing that his world title was stripped away since it was an illegal move. Enjoy jail.
