Icy Roads to Blame for Pickup Accident In Fayette Co.

The Fayette County Sheriff reports that icy roads were a factor in a one-vehicle accident this morning. (Monday, Feb. 5)

At about 9:30am, authorities got a report of a one-vehicle accident on Cedar Road, just south of Highway 56, north of Wadena.

A 2007 Dodge pickup driven by 60 year old Tommy Turner of Grinnell went out of control on the ice-covered road, and slid into the ditch.

No one was injured. Turner was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
