FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS -- JUNE 12, 2019:

A West Union woman, 90-year-old Victoria Schmitt, died Friday, June 7th at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in West Union. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 13th at 11 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church in West Union, with burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in West Union. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, June 12th from 4 to 8 PM at the Waucoma Event Center in Waucoma.

An Oelwein man, 86-year-old Theodore D. "Ted" Jelinek, died Monday afternoon, June 10th, at Oelwein Health Care Center. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 14th at 10:30 AM at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, with inunment at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in rural Oelwein. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 3 to 7 PM at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein and Friday one hour before the service, also at the funeral home.

A Cresco man, 80-year-old Larry Rickard, died on Friday, June 7th. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 14th at 11 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco. Friends may call Friday from 10 AM until service time at the church. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco is assisting the family with arrangements.

An Osage woman, 84-year-old Anna "Louise" Hinrichsen, died Tuesday, June 11th at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM at Our Savior's Luthern Church in Osage, with burial in Orchard Cemetery in Orchard. Visitation will Friday, June 14th from 5 to 7 PM at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

A memorial service for a Waukon man, 70-year-old Gary Jackson, will be held on Saturday, June 15th, at 11 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Waukon. Friends may call Saturday from 9 AM until service time at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is handling the arrangements.

A celebration of life for a Waukon woman, 57-year-old Linda Lyon, will be held on Saturday from 2 to 4 PM at the Kiwanis shelter in Waukon City Park. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is assisting the family.
