Fayette County Sheriff Arrests 4 on Separate Charges

Fayette County authorities have arrested an Atkins man on illegal drug charges.

At about 1am Sunday (Oct. 14), a deputy pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, 18 year old Chris Southerland, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was held in the Fayette County jail until his initial court appearance.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office has arrested 3 men on separate valid Fayette County arrest warrants. All three arrests happened on Friday (Oct. 12). 32 year old Nicholas Konen had failed to serve his sentenced jail time, and was booked into the Fayette County jail until the sentence is served.

63 year old James Clausen is charged with extortion; he is being held on $12,500 bond. West Union Police assisted the Fayette County Sheriff in the arrest.

And 20 year old Tyler Moore is charged with Trespass, Theft in the 5th Degree, and Burglary in the 2nd Degree. He was held on $10,000 bond. The sheriff was assisted by the Oelwein Police Department.
