Images like a packed Carver Hawkeye Arena come to mind right away when you talk about Iowa basketball. I can only imagine what the noise would be like this season with the Iowa men ranked #5 in the preseason polls. But 2020 isn't allowing that to happen. So just like for Iowa football games, and sporting events across the nation, it's time to buy your cardboard cutouts!

CBS2 reports that the University of Iowa Athletic Department is giving fans the chance to fill Carver Hawkeye Arena in a different way for basketball and wrestling events this season, by purchasing cardboard cutouts. There are four options for cutouts this season. The prices are $35 for students, $50 for season ticket holders, and $70 for fans who are not season ticket holders. Fans can also pay $250 and have their cutout signed by head coaches Lisa Bluder, Fran McCaffery, and Tom Brands and then returned to them in the mail.

The other great part about this program is that 20 percent of the revenues will go to the University of Iowa Dance Marathon which benefits the Stead Family Children's Hospital. Officials with Dance Marathon say fundraising has been difficult this year due to the ongoing pandemic and the August derecho.

So if you want your ugly mug in Carver this winter, just head to HawkeyeSports.com/fancutouts. There you can upload your photo which will be printed off onto an 18 by 33 inch piece of cardboard and placed inside the arena.
