[ORIGINAL STORY MAY 18, 2021] A television anchor and reporter who began working in eastern Iowa two months ago was arrested last week.
According to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, KWWL-TV weekend news anchor and reporter Danielle Miskell was arrested and charged after an incident on Thursday, May 13.
Court records show Waterloo police responded to an apartment that Miskell and her boyfriend share at approximately 10 p.m. on the evening of May 13. They were sent to the scene after another person who lives there contacted police after hearing Miskell and William Mohr arguing.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that documents say Mohr had swelling of his left eye and held an ice pack to his face as he exited the scene. Police say Miskell hit and kicked Mohr "multiple times."
Miskell, 34, was charged with Domestic Assault With Injury. The charge is a misdemeanor. A no-contact order was also issued. She has since been released.
The KWWL website says Miskell, who goes by Dani on the NBC affiliate, started at the station in March of 2021 after working the last three years for a "cable television network out of the South Bay Region of Los Angeles, California."
