Dump Truck Rollover In Waterloo Injures Driver

A dump truck driver suffered serious injuries in a rollover accident in Waterloo Wednesday.

The crash happened around 2:45 PM near the intersection of La Porte (U.S. Highway 218) and Orange Roads on the southern edge of the city.

According to Black Hawk County sheriff's officials, the dump truck was going east on Orange Road when the brakes gave out, causing the vehicle to roll in a ditch. The dump truck is owned by Aspro, Incorporated of Waterloo.

Authorities said the driver was taken to a Waterloo hospital for treatment. They did not immediately release victim's name.
