Major League Baseball rosters now feature three players who, at one time, played for the Waterloo Bucks.

Zach McKinstry is the most-recent addition to the group. The Toledo, Ohio, native was called up by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday.

McKinstry joins Oakland Athletics pitcher A.J. Puk and Chicago White Sox infielder Ryan Goins as the former Bucks who are active Major Leaguers.

A product of Central Michigan University, McKinstry was a shortstop with Waterloo in 2015. He hit .281 with three home runs, had 21 runs batted in and eight stolen bases for the Bucks. McKinstry led the team in with three triples and was named a mid-season Northwoods League All-Star.

McKinstry was drafted by the Dodgers in 2016, taken in the 33rd round as the 1,001st overall pick. Last year, the left-handed hitter was named a Texas League mid-season All-Star while playing for the Dodgers' Double-A affiliate, the Tulsa Drillers, in Oklahoma. He was also an MiLB.com Organization All-Star for the Dodgers.

When he enters a game for the Dodgers, McKinstry will become the 17th former Buck to play Major League Baseball.
