2019-20 Iowa High School Girls Basketball Rankings

Here is this week's Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) basketball poll.

The sixth rankings of the season feature 10 teams from the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa.

The highest-rated area team is Crestwood (11-1), which jumped three spots to No. 2 in Class 3A after being ranked at No. 5 last week. Dike-New Hartford (7-1) also moved up three spots, climbing from No. 6 to No. 3.

In Class 5A, Waterloo West (9-1) edged closer to the top five and jumped ahead of rival Cedar Falls (7-3). The Wahawks jumped two spots to No. 7, while the Tigers claimed the No. 8 spot in the rankings.

Other area teams in the survey are Clarksville, East Buchanan (Class 1A), MFL-Mar-Mac, Hudson (Class 2A), Center Point-Urbana and Waverly-Shell Rock (Class 4A).

The latest poll was released by the IGHSAU Thursday afternoon (Jan. 9, 2019).
