Cold-Blooded Killer Dies In South Dakota Prison
A convicted cold-blooded murderer from Pierre, South Dakota has died in prison.
The South Dakota Department Of Corrections released a statement saying state prison offender Brad Reay has died.
Reay, age 64, passed away in the Jameson Annex infirmary on Sunday, February 18th.
He was serving a life sentence from Hughes County for first-degree murder.
In 2006, Brad Reay murdered his wife, Tamara "Tami" Reay, by stabbing her to death.
In an attempt to evade justice, he plotted to frame her lover for the crime.
According to Oxygen.com when this plan failed, he went to the extreme of trying to falsely accuse his young daughter of the murder.
Tami Reay, a 41-year-old wife, and mother residing in Pierre, South Dakota, was officially reported missing on February 8, 2006.
Surprisingly, the report did not come from her husband Brad, 46, or their 12-year-old daughter, Haylee.
Instead, it was Brian Clark, a married coworker from KMart with whom Tami was romantically involved, who reported her disappearance.
In the 911 recording, Clark told the operator that “foul play could be suspected.”
Two days later, on February 10, a South Dakota National Guard helicopter discovered Tami's unclothed body in a remote area north of Pierre.
Tami had been stabbed over 35 times.
Raey was convicted of murdering his wife and then trying to frame her romantic interest and his young daughter.
In January 2007, Brad Reay was found guilty of first-degree murder in a court trial for the brutal stabbing death of his wife.
