Burglary and Theft in Oelwein Under Investigation

Authorities are looking into a burglary and a theft in Oelwein.

Oelwein Police received a report at about 9am Tuesday (Dec. 12) of a theft from the ten block of 1st Avenue SE.

And police also got a complaint of a burglary from the 800 block of 6th Street SE in Oelwein, at about 1:30pm Tuesday.

No other details were released.

Both incidents are under investigation.
