
Bicyclist Injured In Hit-and-Run Accident Near Jesup

Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run accident near Jesup that injured a bicyclist.
The accident happened Sunday just before 7 PM in the 11600 block of County Road D-20 (Osage Road) about three miles west of Jesup.
According to Black Hawk County sheriff's officials, a 22-year-old man was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle. The vehicle fled the scene of the accident.
Authorities said the man was transported to a Waterloo hospital for treatment. Sheriff's officials described his injuries as non-life-threatening.
Black Hawk County sheriff's officials were assisted by Jesup police, fire and ambulance.
