Attempted Murder Arrest In Oelwein

An Oelwein man is being charged with attempted murder, after an incident on the northwest side of town late Thursday.

Just before 9 PM, police were called to the 100 block of 8th Avenue NW, on a report of shots being fired.

Following an initial investigation, officers arrested Ross Ian River Cashen. The 39-year-old is being charged with attempted murder, a Class "B" Felony.

No other information has been released on the incident, other than it remains under investigation.
