Assault at Backbone State Park Puts Oelwein Man in Jail
An assault at an area state park has put an Oelwein man in jail.
The incident happened Sunday (August 16th). The Delaware County Sheriff was notified of a domestic disturbance at Backbone State Park, just north of Dundee.
After deputies arrived, they took Joshua Dugan of Oelwein into custody on charges of Domestic Abuse Assault Displaying or Using a Weapon-1st Offense, 4 counts of Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, and Interference with Official Acts.
The victim in the case has not been identified. No other information was released.
