A young Postville woman has been arrested on a warrant for several drug charges.


At about 4:30pm Wednesday (Aug. 19), the Fayette County Sheriff's Office took 19 year old Abby Hinck into custody for an arrest warrant for Failure to Appear in Court.

Hinck was originally charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used, 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Medicine, and Gathering Where Marijuana is Being Used.

Hinck also had an arrest warrant from Allamakee County for Theft.

The drug charges stem from a search of a home on Union Street in Clermont earlier this month. She is being held on $10,000 cash bond.

An Oelwein man faces charges after authorities were called out to a disturbance in Arlington. At about 11:15pm Wednesday, Fayette County Deputies were called out to a residence in Arlington. After an investigation, 33 year old John Kaub of Oelwein was taken into cutody on a charge of Violation of a No-Contact Order. Kaub is being held in the Fayette County jail pending his initial court appearance.
