An area man has been arrested for allegations of domestic abuse.

At about 11:30pm Sunday (July 31), Fayette County Deputies were called to a domestic disturbance in Arlington. Upon investigation, 48 year old Robert Meyer of Arlington was taken into custody on a charge of Domestic Abuse 2nd Offense. He was held until his initial court appearance.

A Nashua woman, 41 year old Janel Helfter, was arrested Thursday (July 28) on various drug charges. Fayette County officers were called to a possible disturbance to a residence on Highway 93, just west of Fayette. There, deputies took Helfter into custody for warrants for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of T.H.C., from Barron County, Wisconsin. Helfter was taken to the Fayette County jail, to await extradition to Wisconsin.

And a rural Randalia man, 48 year old David Weaver, was arrested Sunday on a Fayette County warrant for trespassing. He was held until his court appearance.
