Area Man Killed in Memphis Violence

A former Northeast Iowa man has been identified as one of the victims of a deadly shooting in Tennessee last weekend.

Between last Friday and Saturday nights, a total of 4 people were killed in the Memphis, Tennessee area.

48 year old Lonnie Ludvigson of Memphis, formerly of Edgewood, Iowa, was reportedly dragged out of his car during a robbery and shot.

The same assailants allegedly robbed and killed three other people in the area, hours prior to confronting Ludvigson, Saturday afternoon.

Authorities are still looking for suspects; no arrests have been reported.

So far this year, there have been 8 homicides in the city of Memphis.

A funeral for Ludvigson has been scheduled for Monday in Edgewood.
