WEST UNION, Iowa (AP) — A 19-year-old man from Independence has been given up to 11 years in prison for vehicular homicide and drunken driving.

Court records say Anthony Fogle was sentenced Monday.

Authorities say Fogle was driving his pickup on Nov. 1, 2014, when it crashed in northeast Iowa's Fayette County, killing a passenger and injuring himself and another man in the truck.

Jonica Paris testified at the sentencing hearing about how everything has changed since her 20-year-old son, Branden Samuel, died in the accident. She says that, "since Branden died, we will never have normal."
