Aplington City Water Update…

APLINGTON, Iowa (AP) — Aplington water is safe to drink.

The Mason City Globe Gazette says (http://bit.ly/1k2NRY3 ) Water Supply in Butler County and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources have lifted the northern Iowa city's water advisories on Wednesday.

That comes after water samples taken on both Monday and Tuesday came back clean.

A water main leak last week caused a loss of water pressure and led officials to recommend that residents use alternative sources of drinking water or boil tap water for food preparation and other similar uses.
