A Cedar Rapids Restaurant is Offering a 6-Pound Burrito Challenge
Do you have what it takes to attempt the "Bad Boy Burrito Challenge?"
Earlier this year, we told you about an incredibly difficult food challenge at Pizza World in Cedar Rapids. If you and a friend can finish a 15-pound pizza in under 30-minutes, the pizza is free, plus you get a t-shirt and a photo on the "Wall of Fame." Well, now we're hearing about ANOTHER Cedar Rapids food challenge, but this one isn't pizza! It's an enormous burrito:
Papa Juan's just held their grand reopening last month at 5505 Center Point Rd NE in Cedar Rapids, and to celebrate, they've launched the "Bad Boy Burrito Challenge." The Facebook post reads:
"Do you have what it takes to down this 6 pound mammoth of a burrito in 30 minutes or less? Stuffed with rice, beans, diced jalapenos, taco meat, grilled chicken, grilled steak, chorizo, 5 types of cheese including Ghost Pepper and Carolina Reaper, Mexican veggies all topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, sour cream and our homemade hot salsa!!!"
If you can successfully finish the burrito, you win a free t-shirt, a $50 gift card, AND you get your photo on the "Wall of Fame!" As of last week, it looks like only one person has been successful so far.
You do have to sign a liability waiver to attempt the challenge, and you are not allowed to modify the burrito in any way. If you fail, the burrito will cost you $29.99.
