A Traffic Stop in Rural Fayette County Results in an Arrest

Fayette County authorities have arrested a Fairbank man, after a traffic stop Saturday.

Just before 3:30am, a Fayette County deputy pulled over a vehicle in the 11,000 block of 130th street, a mile southwest of Fayette, on a traffic infraction.
Upon further investigation, the driver, 26 year old Bailey Scheffert was taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense, and Excessive Speed. Scheffert was held in the Fayette County jail pending his court appearance.

A disturbance in a Fayette County community has resulted in an arrest for an alleged assault.
At about 5:30am Friday, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a report of a domestic disturbance in the city of Clermont.
Responding officers arrested 21 year old De'Jon Jakes for Domestic Abuse Assault-1st Offense, and Obstructing Emergency Communication. Jakes was held until his initial appearance before a judge.
