2 Local Men Arrested in Separate Cases

An Oelwein man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant from Black Hawk County.

Shortly after 9pm Wednesday (May 18), an Oelwein Police officer took 44 year old David Watt into custody for failure to appear on an original charge of assault. Watt was arrested after an interaction with the officer in the 10 block of 5th Street NW.

Another Oelwein man was arrested in a separate incident, after a traffic stop Tuesday (May 17) afternoon. Just after 3pm,

25 year old Sean Reisner was pulled over in the 100 block of 7th Street SE. He was then arrested for failure to file SR22 insurance and driving while suspended.
