Zombies Take Over Northeast Iowa

Zombies are taking over Northeast Iowa this weekend. Liz Brown was infected Thursday while on her lunch break and Roger King was only saved because he hasn't saved his mustache since 1980.
The third annual Indee Zombie Run will be infecting Independence on Saturday October 24th. This 5K Obstacle Course amounts to roughly 3 miles of terrain in and around the Buchanan County Fairgrounds and includes 12 various obstacles and 50 or so Zombies all trying to snag a runner for a quick feast.
Each runner is given 2 flags at the start of the course and the Zombies want those flags. As runners try to concur the course, zombies will try to infect the runners and clam their flags. Runners will receive a 3rd "bonus" flag as a registered organ donor, you can sign up at the run or online at www.iowadonornetwork.org.
The Indee Zombie Run will benefit the Buchanan County Fairgrounds for facility and grounds improvement and the Independence Chamber of Commerce for future special events. Registration for the run is just $40. There are 3 heats for the event. At 3:30 there is a family run and each runner must be at least 9 years of age. The last two heats are at 4 and 4:30 for runners 14 years of age or older. Register as a Zombie for only $15 and try to infect the runners, if that's more your speed.

Thanks to Dave for the great makeup work. Liz will be back to her non-Zombie self soon. Well, her zombie makeup will be missing, all other zombie like similarities are pure coincidental.
