Wreck Lands Couple in Jail on Meth Charges

While in the process of responding to a traffic accident, Winneshiek County authorities have arrested a Sumner couple on illegal drug charges.

At about 11:30pm Friday (Feb. 9), the Winneshiek County Sheriff was called out on the report of a car in the ditch on County Road B-32, west of Ossian.

There were no reported injuries, however during the investigation, deputies arrested 26 year old Katie White of Sumner on charges of OWI-1st Offense, and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Her passenger, 43 year old Vincent Hackman of Sumner, was charged with Possession of Meth-2nd Offense.

Both were taken to the Winneshiek County jail in Decorah.
