Work Release Inmate Missing From Waterloo Facility

Authorities are looking for an inmate who failed to return from a work release assignment.

According to a press release, 26-year-old London Walker failed to report back to the Waterloo Residential Correctional Facility Tuesday night. Iowa Department of Corrections officials said Walker is now considered an escapee.

Walker is described as a black man. He's about 6'0" and weighs around 176 pounds.

Court records show that Walker was convicted of intimidation with a dangerous weapon and other crimes in Black Hawk County. He was admitted to the work release facility on Jan. 8.

Anyone with information on Walker's whereabouts should contact local police.
