Woman Picks up Inmate, Ends Up Going to Jail

An area woman, who drove to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office to pick up a person being released from jail, was arrested herself on a driving offense.

The incident happened at about 4pm Tuesday (March 20) in West Union. 36 year old Milea Jo Mickey of Maynard had driven to the Fayette County jail to bond out an inmate.

When she arrived, Mickey was taken into custody on a charge of Driving While her License is Suspended.

Mickey was held until an appearance with a county magistrate.
