Woman Crashes into Fire Station Seeking Help
Waterloo authorities are investigating an incident early today (Monday, Jan. 30), in which a woman crashed her vehicle into a fire station, while seeking aid for a medical condition.
It happened at about 8am at Fire Station No. 1 on East Third Street in Waterloo.
An unidentified woman, who was apparently bleeding heavily from an earlier medical procedure, pulled into the fire station, but lost consciousness.
The vehicle slowly rolled into one of the overhead doors at the station.
No one else was injured. The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment. There was no word on her condition.
