Woman Arrested for Drugs When Deputy Looks Into Suspicious Vehicle

An investigation into a suspicious vehicle has resulted in numerous drug charges against a Northeast Iowa woman.

At about 11:45pm Thursday (Aug. 20), a Fayette County deputy discovered a suspicious vehicle parked at Westgate Fireman's Park, located along Highway 3, four miles south of Westgate.

On further investigation, the officer identified the driver as 36 year old Ashley Lyn Rochford of Hawkeye.

Rochford was busted for Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Offense – Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Offense – Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs, and Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense.

Rochford was taken to the Fayette County jail in West Union, where she will be held until her initial court appearance.
