Winneshiek County authorities continue to investigate a two-vehicle accident in which a teenager was injured while riding an ATV.

It happened Saturday, June 20th at about 8pm, on Centennial Road in Bloomfield Township, near Castalia.

19 year old Brady Bakken of Castalia was driving south in his car, when two all-terrain-vehicles pulled out in front of him.

Bakken merged into the oncoming lane to pass the ATV's, but one of them, operated by 18 year old Owen Larson of Ossian, then pulled in front of Bakken to turn into a driveway, and the car colided with the rear of the ATV.

Larson was ejected off the ATV; he was flown by helicopter to an area hospital for treatment. There was no word on his condition.

Bakken was charged with Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance.

There was a total of $3,000 in damage to the 2002 BMW 321 and 2007 Honda ATV.

The incident remains under investigation by the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office.
