Weather Apparently Perfect for “Ditch Driving”

The Fayette County Sheriff reports that a few Northeast Iowa motorists have done some recent "ditch driving", because of the icy roads.

The latest happened shortly after 9pm last Wednesday in the 7,000 block of "K" Avenue, where a car driven by 24 year old Ashely Henke of Arlington went into a ditch. No one was injured.
A similar accident happened last Wednesday (Feb. 3) at about 8:30pm, in the 8,000 block of "K" Avenue. A pickup driven by 23 year old Drake Kindon of West Branch, was southbound, when it went out of control. The 2004 Ford F-150 then went into the west ditch. No one was injured.

And a third incident was reported to the sheriff at about 8pm Wednesday, in the 6,000 block of "K" Avenue. A 2001 Chevy Silverado slid into the ditch. The responding deputies found that the driver had left the scene. No injuries were reported.
All three accidents remain under investigation.
