Weather A Factor in Semi Rollover in Bremer County

Weather conditions are being sited as a factor in a semi rollover in Bremer County.

According to the Bremer County Sheriff, the accident happened at about 7:30pm Tuesday (Jan. 24), near the intersection of Highway 63 and 188, just south of Frederika.

28 year old Aly Bah of Naples, Florida, was driving the semi-tractor trailer north on 63.

According to witnesses, Bah attempted to pass another vehicle, but when he returned to his lane, the semi went out of control, spinning 180 degrees, coming to rest on it's side in the ditch.

Bah was taken to the New Hampton hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The sheriff notes that weather conditions were a contributing factor in the accident, and that no charges have been filed.

The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Iowa DOT, Tripoli Ambulance, and Frederika Fire and Rescue.
