Authorities are looking for an inmate who failed to report back to a Waterloo facility Friday night following a work release assignment.

Iowa Department of Corrections officials identified the prisoner as 40-year-old Louis Pitchford. He is described as a 6'0" black male, who weighs 226 pounds.

Court records show Pitchford was convicted of third or subsequent offense domestic abuse assault in Black Hawk County. He was admitted to the Waterloo Residential Correctional Facility on April 20 when he was revoked from his parole supervision.

Anyone with information on Pitchford’s whereabouts should contact local police.
