Waterloo Man Indicted In 2017 Bank Robbery
A Waterloo man has been arrested on a charge connected to a 2017 bank robbery in the city.
Police took Steven Sisk, 54, into custody without incident Saturday afternoon (Feb. 9, 2019). He was taken to the Black Hawk County Jail, then transferred to the Linn County Jail in Cedar Rapids.
Sisk is accused of robbing the downtown branch of Regions Bank on Aug. 3, 2017. Police were dispatched to 412 Mulberry St. on a report of a man entering the business, displaying a handgun and demanding money. Authorities said the suspect fled and left the area before officers arrived.
Waterloo police, in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies, continued their probe of the case. On Friday, a federal grand jury indicted Sisk on one count of bank robbery.
