Waterloo Man Busted For Stealing Funnel Cake

Officers have arrested a deep-fried delinquent. 

Waterloo Police say 20-year-old Dylan Hoffert (pictured) and three others broke into Lost Island Waterpark last month and stole a bunch of funnel cake from the concession area. During the hasty--and tasty--heist the culprits also left a freezer open, which resulted in the loss of an additional $300 worth of funnel cakes and ice cream.

Hoffert was arrested Sunday after a bandanna he was seen wearing in a Facebook photo matched a bandanna worn by the suspect on security video. Hoffert has been charged with one count of third-degree burglary.

In fairness...I'd go to great lengths for a funnel cake, too.
