Waterloo Man Arrested in Oelwein on Bremer Co. Warrant

Oelwein Police have arrested a Waterloo man on an outstanding warrant from Bremer County.

Just after 11am Friday (March 9), officers took 26 year old Dakota Wayne Williams into custody, in the 1500 block of South Frederick Avenue. Williams was wanted on a Bremer County warrant for Theft in the 5th Degree.

An Oelwein man has been cited during a traffic stop. It happened at about 2am Saturday in the 10 block of 1st Avenue NE. 46 year old Robert Ainsworth Jr. was given a citation for Driving While his License is Suspended, and given an equipment repair order for a faulty headlight.

The Oelwein Police Department is also investigating some vandalism. The criminal mischief incident was reported Saturday evening from the 200 block of East Charles.

And they are investigating a theft report, received Saturday night from the 2100 block of South Frederick.
