Waterloo Hate Crime Arrest
WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — Police have arrested two Waterloo men suspected of vandalizing a vehicle that belongs to a Bosnian man.
21-year-old Dayln Cornelius Harrington and 36-year-old Andy Lee Little were arrested on charges of first-degree criminal mischief and public intoxication. Bond has been set at $27,000 apiece.
Police responded to a call on Monday from neighbors saying they witnessed the vandalism, and officers found the man's car with broken windows and an anti-Bosnia slur spray-painted on it.
According to court records, Harrington was found with a can of spray paint, paint on his hands and a bottle of vodka. The records say Harrington and Little appeared to be drinking.
