Waterloo Driver Totals Car Near Waverly

A Waterloo motorist is recovering from a traffic accident in Bremer County.

Bremer County Deputies were called out to the single-car accident Tuesday (April 26) on Highway 218, west of Waverly.

The driver, 63 year old Marsha Corwin, apparently had a medical issue, and lost control of her vehicle. Her car crashed into cable barriers, totaling the vehicle.

Corwin was taken by Waverly Ambulance to Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls, where she was treated and released.

The northbound lanes of Highway 218 were shut down for about an hour and a half.

The Bremer County Sheriff was assisted by the Iowa DOT, Iowa State Patrol, Waverly Ambulance and Waverly Fire Department.
