WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — A disc golfer has been injured after falling from a tree at a Waterloo golf course.

The accident happened around noon Thursday at Valley View Park.

Witnesses say the man was trying to find a disc on the ground and climbed the tree to get a birds-eye view. He fell when a limb snapped. He lost consciousness and later came to.

Authorities estimate the man was about 15 to 20 feet up when he fell.

Waterloo Fire Rescue paramedic took the man to Allen Hospital for treatment.

The identity and condition of the man weren't immediately available.
