WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — A man who was shot during a police chase in Waterloo has been sent to prison.

24-year-old Brandon Seeley pleaded guilty Friday to assault on an officer, eluding and possession of methamphetamine for sale. He was given 20 years in prison as part of his plea deal with prosecutors.

Officials have said an officer feared for his life Nov. 3 when he fired four shots through the window of Seeley's vehicle as it sped toward him. Seeley was struck three times but drove off with police in pursuit. He was later found at a friend's home and taken into custody and hospitalized.
