An area woman has been booked into jail, after trying to avoid arrest, for outstanding warrants.

At about 4:30pm Wednesday (April 26), a Fayette County deputy attempted to serve 2 arrest warrants on 37 year old Lisa Schroeder, at her home in West Union. Schroeder was able to run out the back door, but a neighbor spotted her and called 911, telling authorities that she had jumped into an occupied vehicle, that was headed north on Pine Street. The vehicle was stopped and Schroeder was taken into custody.

An Elgin man has been arrested on a Fayette County warrant, for failure to appear in court. 56 year old Glen Little was originally charged with Driving While Suspended.
The Fayette County Sheriff was called out to a single vehicle accident Wednesday evening, just west of West Union. 25 year old Shai Donaldson of West Union was driving on Neon Road, when she pulled over to make room for an oncoming tractor. She apparently pulled over too far, causing her car to enter the ditch. No one was injured, but there was $2,000 damage to her 2014 Buick Encore.
