An area woman has been booked into jail, after trying to avoid arrest, for outstanding warrants.

At about 4:30pm Wednesday (April 26), a Fayette County deputy attempted to serve 2 arrest warrants on 37 year old Lisa Schroeder, at her home in West Union. Schroeder was able to run out the back door, but a neighbor spotted her and called 911, telling authorities that she had jumped into an occupied vehicle, that was headed north on Pine Street. The vehicle was stopped and Schroeder was taken into custody.
