Wahlburgers Is Coming to Cedar Falls

Cedar Falls has been growing rapidly over the past twelve months, with new businesses and restaurants opening up all over the town. A national chain is looking to get a leg in the Cedar Valley.

The very first Wahlburgers opened in Massachusets in 2011 and just three years later, the Wahlburg brothers launched the reality television show of the same name, according to the franchise website. This show launched this restaurant into the national spotlight.

In 2018, the brothers partnered with Hy-Vee to open more than twenty new Wahlburger locations. There are currently fifteen of these Boston based restaurants in the Hawkeye State.

The majority of these locations are connected to Hy-Vees; just like the two new Iowa Wahlburgers that are set to open sometime this year. One of them will be located in the Hy-Vee in Muscatine, and the other will be right in Cedar Falls.

While there is no word on the exact opening date, several months ago the Cedar Falls Hy-Vee posted job openings for their Wahlburgers at Hy-Vee location late last year. The store will be located at the Hy-Vee in Cedar Falls at 6301 University Avenue.
