A Northeast Iowa driver is recovering from injuries he sustained in a traffic accident, caused by icy roads.

It happened shortly after 8am Tuesday (Dec. 4) in the area of Highway 13 and Secrist Road in Marion. A car driven by 29 year old Jeffrey Martin of Vinton slid on the ice, going out of control and striking two other vehicles.

Martin was the only one injured; he was taken to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

All three drivers were wearing seatbelts.
