A West Union motorist is being charged with causing a 2 vehicle accident last week near West Union.


At about 3pm Aug. 1, the Fayette County Sheriff was notified by 911 call, of an accident in which someone was injured, at the intersection of 210th Street and Neon Road, west of West Union.

An investigation determined that a westbound SUV driven by 56 year old Debbie Rovang of West Union, slowed as she was approaching an uncontrolled intersection.

A van behind her, driven by 37 year old Nicole Rovang of West Union, collided with the back of Debbie Rovang's SUV. Injuries sustained in the accident were minor.

Nicole Rovang's van was totaled; Debbie Rovang's jeep had $5,000 worth of damage. Nicole was charged with Following Too Close.

The sheriff did not indicate if the two women were related.
