Snow and ice covered roads caused an accident in Fayette County, in which one vehicle went into a ditch, and a second vehicle followed, colliding with the first.

At about 2:45pm Saturday (March 9), Fayette County deputies were called to "R" Avenue near the intersection with 110th Street, northeast of Westgate, where a car driven by 45 year old William Hoover of Maynard went into the ditch.

Another southbound car driven by 50 year old Dallas Oberbroeckling of Sumner, also went out of control, sliding into the same ditch, crashing into Hoover's car.

No one was injured; Hoover's 1999 GMC Envoy had $3,000 damage, and Oberbroeckling's 2005 Ford Escape sustained $4,000 damage.

The accident remains under investigation.
